Chaos – the state of complete disorder and confusion. So what do we do? How can we bring harmony, order, and sense to our personal worlds? To discuss the process of finding a way forwards in life, the mermaids have stepped forwards to aid us.
The Mermaids:
Mermaids are unique mythical beings because they are less isolated into a single realm as compared to other creatures. With the ability to be portal jumpers, they are one of the messengers of Creation. Their capacity to travel from realm-to-realm enables them to be one of the connecting figures in the ALL.
Mermen and mermaids were first recorded in 1,000 B.C. by the Assyrians. Then through time, they have branched out across the globe; their stories evident in the myths of various cultures. They have stepped forwards today to help us enter a state of strength, capable of navigating chaos within ourselves and within the world around us.
Mermaids are the messengers of the realms. While they have families and communities, they spend a large portion of their lives navigating what is commonly known as “the black.” Those deep, isolated portions of water where there is no one to monitor their behavior. There is no one holding them accountable, so mermaids need to have an inner strength to do their job well and with honor. To be trusted to as messengers, their skills begin within, which is the same for us.
Why Honor?
Honor is a pretty big word, conveying a concept both complex and universal. But if we don’t pursue the inner strength that demonstrates honor, we are limited to a state of: puppet. Consider for a moment what a puppet is – they are trapped by the strings of their master, waiting for permission to move and be alive. Open and exposed to the manipulations and violations of another.
However, through self-control we can tap into our inherited gifts of power. We stop waiting for permission to live the life of our choosing. We stop being exposed to the harm of master manipulators. But without honor, we run the risk of becoming masters to others, those people who are still behaving as puppets. Then we are the danger, the manipulators. Honor is what enable us to not only have strength and power within our personal lives, but also be trusted into the lives of others.
Co-Creation & Reality:
In life we create, design, and perpetuates ways of living. This “normal” that we know is our traditions, cultures, beliefs, and values. If we are to live a life navigating chaos, it means that we need to acknowledge not only our own power, but the impact of our interconnectedness.
Consider the mermaids, they are entrusted as messengers because they support a “normal” that respects the importance of all realms. These values and ideals design their world and way of life – their community supports not only mermaids but life itself. The ALL of Creation.
A world of chaos is one without order, rife with confusion, lacking structure, support, and safety. Yes, we can achieve an ordered world, but which polarity do we want to support? The lower vibration of order manifests dictators, segregation, violation of freedom, and the breaking of peoples spirits. But the higher vibrations of order can be achieved through the values of: safety, trust, co-creation, freedom, and respect.
The Golden Rule: to treat others the way you wish to be treated, summarizes this idea of living in a world that has order through respect and love, not fear and punishment. If you wish to learn how to develop inner strength, personal power in a healthy way, and attain honor to navigate the crazy of the world, read on….
The Root of Personal Power:
As souls we are blessed and gifted by Spirit. One gift is: free-will. We and all other mythical beings utilize this ability to choose where we go and what we do. Our ability to think, feel, choose, and have opinions, this freedom is innate.
Mermaids utilize their freedom to travel through portals and provide messages across Creation. We can develop our gift of free-will and hone it into not only a self-serving ability, but one that also adheres to the Golden Rule. Where the people, animals, and even mermaids would trust us, because we have honor.
Freedom:
Free-will is the ability to decide for ourselves. But since we are interconnected, what we choose impacts more than just our personal quality of life. When people live a fear-based lifestyle they wish to confine freedom, for fear of personal safety. If we choose a more Heart-Centered way of life, we still need to address safety.
Freedom + Honor:
We do not need to consider safety from a place of fear, but rather from a place of self-love and love for others. From a place of honor.
Where we respect other people’s freedom and not violate the five elements of the human: body, mind, heart, will, and faith. So that when we’re in a group setting, our co-creation of reality is one of order and support rather than chaos.
Free-will becomes healthy personal power when…
Step 1- free-will + Golden Rule =
Step 2- Responsibility over our choices.
Step 3- Accountability: being responsible even when no one is looking. That when a mistake is made, you own it, apologize, and make amends. Just like the mermaids.
Step 4- Integrity: “It’s courage over comfort, choosing what’s right over what’s fun, fast, or easy, and practicing your values, not just professing your values.” ~ Brene Brown
Each step we make the more we build in strength, ability in life, and becoming a person of honor.
False Power vs. True Power:
When we begin to develop not only personal power through the use of our freedoms, but also choose options that respect our interconnectedness and the sacredness of all souls in Creation, we becoming strong people. People who are no-longer waiting for permission to live their lives according to their values and desires. We stop being puppets to manipulators, set adrift in a world of chaos, and we begin to bring order to our personal lives. A power born and rooted within.
As a result, we shift out relationship with not only our inner selves, but by extension the outer world we co-create. No longer are we a vibrational match to the deadly, dangerous, and violation; we’re too tough. Whereas, the wounded and ignorant people of the world, they live unhappy lives creating chaos because they lack the strength to create healthy structure. They pick on those they feel will bend, which as we grow stronger is no-longer us.
Their power resides with the weakness of other people. However, they will still not know true strength, because their power is still out of their own hands. As soon as the weak, wounded, and ignorant start doing the work of building inner strength through knowledge and healing, the perpetrators lose their base of power. The truly powerful are tapping into the root of power (free-will) from within. They can go anywhere, be around anyone, and still be strong and capable. That’s what we’re learning to do here.
Personal Power & Joy:
There is a seriousness to developing healthy personal power, but it doesn’t mean we stop joy. Look to the mermaid’s mythology and you will find humor, wit, and even playful behavior. This blending of adult seriousness with childish joy is not only achievable but there is a higher probability of happiness.
When we have a structure to our lives, in this case through the choice of being a person of honor, we free up so much space for fun. The impact of disorder and confusion (chaos), breeds fear, worry, and stress. But safety, structure, protection, and healthy power creates the same environment that many of us knew in childhood.
I know that there are a number of behaviors that people say are: childish; that certain things are only found within children. However, what if these behaviors weren’t about being children but rather being safe, with structure, love, and respect?
There are spiritual leaders within the world who seem to retain the twinkle in their eyes. Like Santa Claus, they exhibit a sense of joy, wonder, and curiosity about life. Sometimes seen as a childish behavior within a chaotic world. But chaos can be healed with structure and understanding. Knowledge truly is power. Not only bringing us safety, but the recipe for an environment idyllic like blessed childhoods.
Personal Power + Trustworthiness:
The first step is to start tapping into our own abilities in life. That freedom. But as we integrate into our communities, we need to be trustworthy if we wish to create healthy and happy lives. Human beings are a social species, we do not do well alone and isolated. In addition, people want to be around those who respect their freedoms and demonstrate trustworthy behavior. So, to progress into strong people we need to take the next step.
But before we can be trustworthy we need to know what that means… “Trust: is choosing to make something important to you, vulnerable to the actions of someone else. Distrust: is what I have shared with you that is important to me, is not safe with you.” ~ Charles Feltman
Dr. Brene Brown has done the research and taken the concept of trust and put together an acronym that teaches us and provides us with a vocabulary. That acronym: BRAVING
B- Boundaries (for all 5 elements of the human being)
R- Reliability (you’re dependable, being and doing what you say you’re going to do, consistently)
A- Accountability
V- the Vault (keeping what’s private and personal confidential)
I- Integrity
N- Non-judgment (safe to ask and give help)
G- Generosity (giving the benefit of the doubt, that imperfect people made a mistake and did not have malicious intent)
Honor:
In life we have a choice to cultivate an inner strength that provides us an inner structure that brings clarity to confusion and heals the chaos within. Once we have this ability, we can not only build a life we want to live, but due to our interconnectedness we can help to co-create a better world. This all begins with us turning away from the chaos of the outside world, and doing the work within our personal lives. Building a life of fulfillment, health, and abundance is possible!
Like the mermaids, we can become people capable of swimming through the black of the world, with an inner strength that shines like a flame. People who are entrusted with the well-being of others. Who live a life traveling to places and connecting with beings throughout Creation.
The Steps to Honor:
Step 1- Own your free-will.
Step 2- Choose the Golden Rule.
Step 3- Build up to integrity.
Step 4- Choose options (word/action/values/paths) that are trustworthy.
Step 5- Live your truths. Those values of: love, healing, happiness, hope, and faith.
Congratulations, you’ve become a person of honor!
