Today we are greeted by the griffins. Part lion and part eagle – they are majestic, fierce, and smart beings. Like their earthly counterparts, griffins have much to teach us.
As I began my channeling for today, not only did the griffins come forwards, but they accompanied their presence with the keyword: packmate. Influenced like their lion brethren, griffins are very family and pack focused. As a result, they can teach us much about ourselves.
The Human Being:
We are homo sapiens. Our species teaches us a lot about who we are, what we need, and how we can live best. Like the animals in a zoo or out in the wild, the better we understand the nature of any species, the better a habitat we can create or protect. Human beings, like other animals, have intrinsic traits that shape our present reality.
Human beings, like the lions are pack animals. We need other people. We need community. We do not survive let alone thrive without our lives having people we are close with, rely on, support, nurture, and love. Presently, so many of the human habitats in place isolate us. Breaking the bonds we so desperately need. As a result, a loneliness epidemic has been announced.
Moving forwards with our holiday season and life in general, the griffins are here to remind you to connect with your pack. To develop and devote time and energy to your community – because it’s an essential part of your well being.
Griffin’s Teaching:
Griffins like people, are diverse and unique. The combination of lion and eagle can be formed into a variety of ways. When we dive into the symbolic teachings of the griffin we can learn how to better understand our own design as a pack species.
Taking a page out of animalism (the belief that animals impart lessons, messages, skills, and magic) we can view griffins like an animal totem.
Lion:
The lion element within them teaches us about creating a community for ourselves and also how to engage with people not part of our pride. A lion’s pride is the focus and devotion of the lions.
Like them, we are designed to have specific people in our lives who are a part of our inner circle. They earn that right by being: safe, supportive, invested, and engaged. We all have relationships, but the healthy ones involve the time, effort, and work to connect and keep connecting. No one has the right to join our inner circle, this sanctuary we can build, unless they earn that right with deeds.
But when we witness the lions within the wild, they do not lash out and become a complete danger to those not a part of their pride. No, we look to the watering holes and see both lion and gazelle drinking. Even the elephants and zebra come to drink their sustenance. This teaches us that as people expand past our inner circle to varying degrees, we are still respectful and safe. Just because people aren’t “our people,” doesn’t mean they stop being important within Creation.
Eagle:
The symbolism of an eagle is all about – clarity, perspective, connection, and self-confidence. An eagle’s capability shapes them into fierce and powerful animals. Like the eagle we each possess the capacity to become strong, self-confident, and capable. This innate power means that we each are also dangerous.
Like the talons and beak of an eagle, we can tear into others. We can cause swift and life-changing damage. Humans for all of our soft skin and lack of literal claws – we are powerful enough to be dangerous.
I know that acknowledging the innate ability to do harm and destruction might seem self-condemning, but all animals have both healing skills and hurting skills. In a world of polarity we are all black and white. We are capable of so much. This capability isn’t what determines our value, safety, or loveability. What we choose to do/say and not do/say determines who we are.
Like the lions, we are deadly, but can choose to be safe to be around. This power of choice (free-will) is also our responsibility. If we adopt accountability and integrity for our responsibility in life (who we choose to be each day) – we develop honor.
What the eagle elements of the griffin are here to teach us, is that we are permitted and even supported to have a community now. No matter where you are on your healing journey, no matter how dangerous, powerful, or capable you are – you have the right and the ability to create a community for yourself.
Another key element being taught here is that the griffin is a part of their pack not when they cut off their beak and file down their talons, but when they are in their full power. Our true pack does not reside with the people who ask us to cut off our wings. Rather than being condemned or outcast, our self-confidence, capability, and power will match our tribe. Like the griffin, if we cut off our wings and file down our beak and claws, we lose our connection with our community. When we are ourselves and as whole as we are presently capable of – that’s when we find and match with our tribe.
Griffin’s Message:
As you engage in this holiday season, you are encouraged to reach out to your pack. These are the people, animals, and places that are your inner circle. The safe, supportive, involved, invested, and loving. Stop damaging yourself and limiting your healing and growth in an attempt to have community. If you feel the need to make yourself smaller, weaker, and less dangerous around people – you are not obligated to keep them as part of your pride.
The holiday season and life in general is about forming, supporting, and nurturing your pack. That doesn’t mean we stop being safe and respectful to the zebras and elephants. Instead, we devote our focus to those who love us for who we are. It is only in authenticity that we can receive true love and give it.
To help us adopt the teachings that griffin has flown in to deliver to us today, they shared with me an honor code they have. Now I share it with you guys…
Griffin’s Honor Code:
“I honor my own.
I tame myself for no one.
I am wild, I am fierce.
I am as I have been and shall remain, myself.”
As human beings we need people. Our pack enables us to not only survive but begin to thrive. You have a right to a personalized community. This sanctuary of safety, love, and support. No matter where you are in your life’s journey – now is the time for connection.
Thank you for stopping by today, and I look forwards to seeing you guys tomorrow for another mythical connection.
