2026 brings an environment rich in potential. By taking a few minutes to learn about the environment’s nature and what we can do to navigate the year, we will become empowered.
Now is a period of great change as we enter into a Golden Age of Healing. Traveling from where we are to where we have collectively prayed to go. This therefore necessitates change – like a common cold we can only go so long before action must be taken.
It might even feel fraught with uncertainty and calamity when we obligate ourselves to be more than human – to become all knowing and all powerful. Since this is not the nature of human beings, instead we can choose to embrace spiritual guidance and tap into Mother Earth to root ourselves in the soil of truth.
Since there is a sickness in this world – a sickness of loss. Loss of identity, loss of care, loss of connection, loss of humanity. The year of 2026 is marked by a cleansing of sickness, and through this we shall witness – fire, water, air, metal, and earth converge to shake the reality we once knew. This is the only way of healing – through.
Just as a common cold triggers fever, shakes, chills, and the need for rest. Healing of individuals and our collective will also trigger personal and global events designed to be the steppingstones. Learning to perceive this sickness for what it is – a healing journey, enables us to navigate the evolution to come. Taking us from where we are to a brighter world. Here’s how…
Numerology: 2026 a Universal 1 Year Energy 2 + 0 + 2 + 6 = 10 …. 1+0 = 1
Within the spiritual tool of numerology, we discover that each digit represents traits and qualities – specific frequencies of energy which create cycles. Loops of development, fluctuating between movement and stillness. Running from 1-9, only to begin anew.
During this yearly transition, it is as if we stand above a period of nothingness. Where our previous Universal 9 Year energy shifts back to the very beginning and aligns with a Universal 1 Year.
The number 1 symbolizes potential, new beginnings, and a fresh perspective. A time when new chapters, adventures, journeys, and situations begin. Since we are discussing a Universal frequency of energy, we are going to witness a period where life seems to be spitting out all of these options.
Dreams and delusions…resulting in some chaos as each person within the world casts a vote as to which paths and values we will align ourselves with. Make no mistake, this is a year where your voice, vote, money, and feet (where you go online and in person) will signal not only to the algorithms and statistics, but to Spirit and Mother Earth where we have chosen to stand.
As a result of these new beginnings, for some who align with fear-based philosophies it can be a time of panic with regards to the unknown. Remember that we’re not merely progressing from say a 2 into a 3 energy, but we are starting at the very beginning. Traveling across a bridge of the unknown into a new land.
The Lower Polarity:
Within the more wounded expression of this year, we will witness bold claims, overcommitted promises, and those flash in the pan moments. Where people utilize the spark of a 1-year energy and attempt to create something too fast, deliver too soon, or fail to see all the steps involved for manifestation.
Remember, we are beginning a whole new 9-year cycle. Yes, we will see ideas form, plans begin, and momentum initiated as people utilize their vote to get behind people, companies, and industries. However, true development might take years. Our world is starting a whole new chapter.
The Higher Polarity:
Aligning with healthier options means looking for the people and plans which reflect an understanding of development. These are not your get rich quick or slim down in 20 days people – look to the ones who offer to lead you. The people who will share their personal journey or company plan. They often will appear as the less flashy options.
It might be less appealing to hear a company promise to go 100% Green in 5 years, but it shows that they have a realistic and therefore a well-researched plan. This is a promise they have placed effort into enacting.
Look to the relationships where people talk about getting to know you over the next few months, cultivating shared values, and accumulating shared memories. They might not sound as charming and suave, yet they understand what it means for there to be a true friendship which can blossom into family (romantic or platonic).
Also consider your own attitude. While the desire for clarity or accomplished goals might push you to act too fast or overcommit too soon – instead temper yourself.
Chinese Astrology: from Wood Snake to Fire Horse
Nothing illustrates this recommendation of temperament more than our transition from that of wood snake to fire horse. Within Chinese astrology we not only have the 12 zodiacs, but we also rotate among the 5 elements.
This past year has been a time of the wood snake and starting in December until February, the transition and shift begins as we enter 2026 and the influence of the fire horse. We witnessed last year as a time of shedding old skin. As we left behind what we had outgrown to make room for a truer version of ourselves. Now we begin to transition our focus from inner cultivation to outward initiation with the Fire Horse.
Consider for a moment the nature of fire – movement, consumption, mutation. However, the nature of the flame depends upon its environment. As we become more fully immersed within the fire horse energy, we can begin to witness individuals playing with fire.
Yes, it’s as dangerous and beautiful as it sounds. On the one hand, we can see people dive too deep, too fast. Maybe their work is missing a point. Maybe the collateral damage gets away from them and is extensive. However, let us not turn down a fear-based perspective of the coming year. Instead, let us turn towards the positive possibilities.
The fire which is controlled, maintained, and tempered can hone the greatest gifts. From the metalsmith’s forge to the glassblower – true beauty, innovation, and assistance can be found when we play with fire in healthy ways.
The Fire Horse represents movement, freedom, and courage. A healthy expression being one where we set our pace, choose our desired direction, and move with clear intention. Because like all fire, it can fuel our passions and creativity, or it can also cause burn out.
This year we are diving deep into the potential brought to us with a new collective cycle in that 1-year energy and with fire…lots of fire. From Chinese astrology to Western astrology where we witness Neptune entering the fire sign Aries in January. Expect to feel the shift in our energetic environment quickly – as is the nature of fire catching.
The Plan:
As we consider the nature of our environment’s collective energy through tools like numerology and astrology, we immediately get this sense of change, movement, and initiation. However, through all of this we are tempered to begin our year in stillness. Why?
In life the mob mentality can turn concern into chaos. The collective consciousness melding together into peer pressure and social conformity, leading to a standardized dysfunctional practice of, “what will they think?” However, we lose autonomy and clarity when we give way to everyone else.
So, ask yourself how you would like to experience this year? Would you like to run away from fears and concerns, or would you like to be running towards dreams and desires?
When we begin something new there are so many options. Paths that entice us forwards, yet very few are going to be what we truly desire. However, if we start running before we intentionally choose which path to walk upon, we can spend this great potential energy and the year itself getting somewhere we weren’t even interested in.
Instead, by practicing stillness at the start of the year you can watch the chaotic movements pass you by. Observing the options which lay before you and then creating some concrete goals for yourself. About where you want to be running towards by devoting your time, focus, passion, and intention on it.
Do this for year-long goals, like what you want to schedule into your year. Such as trips, family time, and functions like games/plays/parties. Yet, also consider the next decade. Because 10 years from now, we will enter a new 1-year energy. That’s right, this is a 9-year cycle into which we are entering.
While we have thoughts about 2026, some of our plans can be long-term goals. Are you ready to start a family? Are you ready to dedicate yourself to building your career? Are you ready to wrap up and prepare for retirement? Are you shaping what retirement looks like for you?
These plans for the next 9 years don’t need to be massive. They can be informative. Take something you already do such as reading, exercise, or a hobby. Then take a goal like parenting or career advancement. When you go to read – pick a book about this long-term goal. If you’re exercising pick a regimen that helps with pregnancy or endurance. Replace a hobby with one which aligns with your dreams for your future.
You can take the life you already lead and start tweaking it today. Replacing one item – a book, some food, or half-an-hour of your day. You can bring joy, cultivation, and innovation from the energetic environment of a 1-year and utilize it to your advantage.
The Tortoise and the Hare:
To exemplify what we will witness in 2026 we can look to the old fable of the tortoise and hare. The story goes that the hare being brash announced to the animals that he was the fastest and even mocks tortoise, challenging him to a race. A race around the world.
To which, the tortoise agrees.
Soon the animals gathered around, tortoise and hare stood at the starting line, as rabbit dropped the flag. Right away hare sped past tortoise. For miles tortoise focused upon placing one foot in front of the other, step-by-step. Until such time as he came upon hare, laying down exhausted – all burned out.
Tortoise continued on, and while hare thought he would rest and then speed past tortoise once more, time told a different story. Through the passage of land, water, and season at the finish line it was not hare, but rather tortoise who crossed first.
This Aesop Fable has been utilized to teach about endurance, perseverance, and hard work. But more than that, it’s about environment. If it had been a 100-meter race, hare would have won.
The fiery energy of hare is like the young, eager, and inexperienced people of the world. A racehorse charging past things in 2026, in danger of unfulfilled promises, missed deadlines, and burning out.
The tortoise while less flashy, understands the environment for this next journey. A journey of not only a single year, but 9 years. A journey of healing generational sicknesses. A journey which can be accomplished without burning oneself out.
As you step into the energetic environment of 2026 ask yourself – Where are you aligning – with the hare or the tortoise?
Channeled Guidance: Spider Woman
Pulling away from old teachings of social standards like overworking oneself or self-sacrifice, we can begin to embody healing right now. By choosing to align with our values. Here, we value healing, love, happiness, and spirituality. Here, we practice the Heart-Centered Way.
With these values I have been working over the last few months with my spirit guides to get a sense of 2026 and make my own plans. Within my channeling I received the guidance of Spider Woman for how we navigate this coming year to the best of our ability.
Within Navajo culture, there is the story of Spider Woman. She is a teacher of weaving, a benefactor, and even guide for the people. Helping to restore harmony through balance between us and the land.
Spider Woman has stepped forth this coming year as an ancestor – a soul who walked upon this land and wove patterns within the earth. She is here to help us weave our own webs for life and for this next chapter.
Like a spider’s web which adapts to environment, weaves together strands to support the spider, and is utilized for connection, courting, nourishment, and rest – we are called to weave.
While you get to choose who you allow within the inner circle of your life, we must still adapt to the collective environment – casting our vote for where we stand. We will then pull together the things we believe in to provide the structure, safety, and comfort we seek. We can even utilize the life/community we build for play and fun. Leaving the world outside our web – our home – to their own decisions.
Conclusion:
2026 marks this time as a year of great upheaval and change. While each person decides which path they will walk. In answer to what is to come, I myself have chosen to dedicate this year to providing focused guidance for navigating what comes next.

While this is a time of change, I want to encourage you to remember that at all times we are moving. From the smallest of atoms to the great tidal waves – energy doesn’t stop. Stagnation is where illness takes root. Evolution while unknown is our liberation from the dis-ease we presently witness and may even experience.
We are beings of this land. Mother Earth and ALL her inhabitants are designed for life here. We are designed to flow within the cyclical rhythms of numbers, planets, elements, and signs. We are also souls of Creation. Never abandoned, but rather interconnected.
Which means we got into this way of life together, and together we will travel through it and out to the other side. The journey for many begins now. Healing triggered through fever and depletion. Yet, like all true healing, there is hope for a bright and happy future. A year where we embrace the wisdom of tortoise and weave into our lives community, with the assistance of Spider Woman.
