7 Days Till Santa – Magic & Magicians

With only a week to go before Santa’s visit, we are being drawn back to our beginning. At the start of this month and indeed our Christmas countdown, we immersed ourselves within the energy of December. Like a sacred pool, we were asked to step within to experience an energy of initiation.

Over the weeks we have met with and learned from a variety of “mythical” beings, and we have more to go. But today we are meeting a “mythical” being we are surprising familiar with – the human being. The magical human being.

While there are a variety of names we could use, for the ease of our discussion we will stick with magician (no matter gender).

Throughout human history, we have heard and maybe even witnessed feats of magic. These hush-hush abilities line the fables, myths, and legends of each civilization. An acknowledgement of a human being or a group of them engaging in and delivering acts of such great magnitude that they could only be perceived as: great, fantastical, magical, or even miraculous. Today, we are going to disband with the silent warnings and discuss the innate magic that human beings are capable of…

The Magician:

One of the best examples of magic is illustrated by the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck. The first Major Arcana card, the Magician, demonstrates the people’s ability to manifest and create in life. For what is magic?

We know magic as the ability/power to influence, create, and shape life in such as manner that it matches our desires. How the magic is done can differ from the various realms (fairies, dragons, etc.), to the dimensions, or maybe the focus/drive of the magic (ancestral, earth, water, blood, light, spells, etc.)

Within tarot, the key elements to the human experience were distilled into images, representing key archetypes, lessons, messages, and scenarios. The Magician is a diagram, representing the human’s magic to create; by influencing what comes next with the use of tools and knowledge.

Creation:

Breaking down the diagram of the Magician, we begin at the top…where the Magician has reached his hand up into the heavens. The birthplace of creating begins with the fact that we come from Creation. Carrying the spark within our souls, we can tap into the nature of life and use it to form reality. This can be in the form of foreign magic, cosmic, or even earthly energy.

Our ability to be magical comes from the fact that we are born from the magic of life. We can create because our source of life comes from Creation.

The Self:

When we’ve worked with the mermaids and the unicorns we learned of their specific magical abilities. Did we stop to ask where their magic came from, or did we understand that their magic was as much a part of who they are as was their tail and horn? We humans so often see ourselves as mundane. Partly because of how we’ve been taught and partly because we can sometimes not feel very special.

However, our magic and various abilities is as real and natural as a mermaids tail and ability to portal jump from realm-to-realm. Within us we carry an entire personal universe. A world filled with energy basins holding the various powers we see expressed through the chakras.

The common DNA, holds memory, abilities, and supports specific forms of magical expressions. What we know as mundane holds magic and a spiritual essence of Creation within it. Magic runs like a stream through all things.

When we consider the diagram of the Magician, we witness a man decked out in robes of red and white – symbolizing passion and purity. Magic is about desire, your will needs to want it badly enough to put forth the energy and effort. While the purity shows that magic’s essence is not corrupt. Why we want something is more important than how strong we are creating.

While the infinity symbol placed upon the man’s crown shows our eternal nature as souls. The power we possess is not only capable of being expressed as humans, but the magic resides deep within us. Like the unicorn, our abilities are innate.

As Within, So Without…

Yet, where is the magic in our lives? I know magic is often described as a wave of the wand, a snap of the fingers, or the softly spoken incantations…however, magic is a skill. Like dancing, reading, or mathematics we must study and practice, work the muscles of our magic to be strong and capable.

This begins by working within ourselves, at our own well of magic. To tap into our own abilities to access various skills and learn the feel as we utilize tools. This begins our training.

In this world, we human beings are subject to more than merely our five senses. There are laws like gravity, principles like polarity (yin/yang), and a system of reflections. What we have within us will be reflected in the outside world.

Magic as we see with the Magician, begins with the inner movement. A desire, a purity of intent, a movement/act of reaching to connect with the Divine/Creation. Then we pull from the heavens, through our bodies, the magic to create and manifest into the 3D world. As we see his other hand point towards the ground – the 3D manifestation.

Getting Started…

There are so many forms magic embodies. We witness the variety of options on the table of the Magician (Wand, Cup, Sword, Pentacle). Representations of the knowledge and tools/techniques that a Magician can utilize to conjure and create the life he desires.

Today’s channeling was with magic, this ability we each possess. To radically and powerfully influence what will come. Working with each of the mythical beings who come forward in our countdown, practicing metaphysical tools, or even diving into scientific studies from a spiritual perception can help you pave a way to being your own magician in life.

Today’s message wasn’t about the work, but the belief. To uncover your magic and access it, you must first know it’s there. That you, as you are, can be a magician. You are capable of magic if you want to be.
