February begins as a month of complete “new year” energy, since the Chinese New Year took place on January 29th, we are now fully enveloped by the new year. The influence of our Universal 9 year energy of endings, paired with the Chinese year of the snake with shedding skins, and the pivotal need for authenticity as we further immerse ourselves within the photon band astrologically – this means a great period of change. Therefore, leading those changes with authentic driven desire is the way to go this year.
As a result, we witness this month’s energy as a swath of: red, connected with movement and drive. Which depending upon our perception and intentions around change means it can be experienced as: aggression and attack…or personal power and possibility.
What is change?
It is to take one state of being, whether it be a relationship, job, health, or even capability/personality and it becomes something else. Sometimes through growth and other times through destruction. Change can be as simple as Monday becoming Tuesday, or it can be as pivotal as traditions and customs. Change, evolution, transmutation – these are all referencing the nature of life.
In transmutation we witness what is, we have a desire/intention (to grow, alter, etc.), and then we take action – at this step it is critical that we consider how and why we are transmuting/changing an aspect of life. If we are careless this transmutation can result in feeling like an attack. We’re coming in and deciding we want/need something different – does this then mean that we…don’t want what came before, or more than that, that we reject, look down upon, or are even repulsed by what has been.
Like the parent who is hurt when they learn that their child has no desire for their traditions, customs, or job – hurt is the result of a perception that the very truths and values of this person have been rejected. Change when it’s perceived as wiping away something of value or comfort, this loss is felt as an attack. Which is why the reasons behind the initiation of change and the manner it takes place are critical in determining if we experience not only this month’s swift movements, but changes in general, as acts of aggression or positive acts of possibility.
This month, our collective red energy can be expressed very angrily or personally powerful. Therefore, we might witness the anger, hurt, and even a sense of attack in governments as the old traditions face evolution’s transmutations. We might also witness people “over reacting” or expressing hurt when the swift moving energy of the month shifts what’s going in their life. This movement will be especially felt as January was a slower moving month.
For those of us aligning with a Heart-Centered Way (healing, love, happiness, & spirituality) we can end this sense that our lives are being attacked in the name of change, by going back to our 2025 forecast energy (teal) of – transmutation. And looking at our very concept of how we approach change.
Like the caterpillar who transforms into a butterfly, we too can learn to hold equivalent space in our heart for the before and after in our life. Where we not only remember to value the steps in our past (however painful and unwanted or wanted). But to also learn to become open to the possibilities that are inherent in the future. By becoming conscious and active participants in the changes happening in our lives, so that we can steer the movements toward the direction of what we truly desire. Combining the why of change with the how.
Why: Movement is the nature of life. Therefore, change, growth, evolution, and transmutation are as essential as gravity. Change is not the enemy; therefore, we can safely adopt change into our lives. When we stop fighting it, we can start using it to go after positive potentials.
How: Since not only change but interconnectedness is inherent in life, by choosing to have gratitude or at least not hate what has come before, we can act in kindness in relation to the movement happening in our life. Understanding that we would not be where we are today, without what came before. But that we are also not trapped by the past and we can take with us the best qualities of the past as we move forwards.
Conclusion:
Movement is the manner of Creation from the oceanic waters down to the vibrating atoms. Movement doesn’t need to be our enemy nor feel as if life is all about battles and fighting. How might we witness the world’s ever moving changes from the perception of healing and growth?
This month we will feel and witness great movements and changes – but we get to decide with our personal power (free-will) if it will be expressed as an attack or as a step within the transmutation of our lives in alignment with…
– gratitude for what came before and our ability to choose our next changes
– self-care of healing
– and a great sense of empowerment
As you engage with the month remember that we each face the daily choice of how and why we approach change as we do. The actions of others and their relationship with change might mean an aggressive or “over reacting” attitude, that from their perception seems quite reasonable. That same goes for our own attitudes.
If you wish to experience true understanding or engage in deeper personal power, look deeper. Not merely at the situation unfolding, but at the why and how. Why fight or engage in these changes? How are they/you going about them – with fear or a love-based life philosophy? Just because we start our journey one way doesn’t mean we can’t take our free-will and redirect our life experience. Transmuting an aggressive moment into a healing and proactive one. We get to decide…that is our power and blessing.
