December 6th: Energy Protection and Empowerment for The Holiday Season

Happy Monday Chickadee! As we count our way down to Christmas, I wish to share with you a few tools I utilize to help make my days safer, stronger, and more prosperous.

As human beings we are connected with all of life and this connection means that we are not alone. It also means that we are not unaffected by what goes on around us.

Due to these truths, we can do more to help make our holiday season a joy and success when we not only choose how we will think, feel, and act but when we also utilize tools to help us stay safe. Because we are connected, if there are people around you who don’t choose a path of compassion and holiday cheer we are impacted by their choice.

But don’t worry, just because we are impacted by what goes on around us- it does not mean that we lose our power and free-will. At all times we get to decide how we will experience a moment in life. This is our personal power, and with these tools you can redirect your day to remain safe and filled with good cheer, not matter what those around you decide or do.

Our Six Safety Tools:

To start us off, I have what I refer to as my Six Safety Tools. These are the six tools I utilize on a daily basis to help keep me safe energetically, mentally, emotionally, and even physically.

One- Grounding:

Just as the name suggests, this visualization technique alters my energy and connects me with the divine and with Mother Earth. Through this grounding, I strengthen myself emotionally, mentally, and energetically. As a result, I am empowered even when those around me create a rocky environment.

Two- Shielding:

Through the use of a visualization technique, we are all able to create energy-based shields. These shields not only protect us emotionally and mentally, but even aid us physically.

Because these shields subconsciously inform those around us that we are not only eligible for but have called in our spiritual family for assistance and they are engaged and at our side. When you mess with one of us, you mess with family.

Three- Cutting Cords

As I said, we are connected, and when we honor life and connect with those around us, we not only experience a greater depth to life but we as human beings are satisfied on a deep and primal level. Connection as Brené Brown said is why we’re here.

But like all things, our connections with people, situations, environments, and experiences come to an end. Sometimes it is the end of a relationship and other times merely the end of a conversation. And when this end comes, it is time to
‘cut the cord’.

What I mean by this, is that with each interaction we have we become connected. A cord or tether connects us to that other person, situation, or environment. This facilitates connection on an energetic level and provides a depth to said connection.

However, we can become bogged down by all these cords and past connections. We also can encounter energy vampires who suck energy from us through these connections, either consciously or subconsciously.

For these reasons, we can utilize the visualization technique of cutting cords to sever past interactions and cut these energetic ties. This leaves us re-energized, safe, and open and available for new connections.

Four- “Bless me, Bless you”

Connection can be wonderful and beautiful. We can experience a meeting of the minds, contentment, and even be revitalized. But sometimes we just cannot seem to meet eye-to-eye.

In those instances when we cannot agree or we feel that a person is choosing a path of destruction or harm, the connection we experienced can cause us to feel connected to this other person and their actions. When this happens, when we just can’t seem to let go, “Bless me, Bless you” offers you a way to say, “no thank you,” to their beliefs, ideas, plans, energy, or responsibility without needing to get mean or nasty.

You can bless you, by saying “no” to what they are offering. Then you can bless them and send them only good things. Who knows, that just might help them on an energetic level.

Five- Incense and Smudging

This next tool is not a visualization technique, but it is also built upon the premise of energy. Through the burning of various herbs like sage, we energetically influence our surroundings and our own energy field.

As a result, we can cleanse our environment, balance ourselves, or even relax to the comforting smell of sage, frankincense, or myrrh.

Six- The Elements

The last of the Six Safety Tools calls upon the connection we have with Mother Earth. Through the use of the five elements, you can positively cleanse and empower yourself.

By taking a rejuvenating shower (water), a healthy meal filled with vegetables (earth), doing a meditation (air- breathing), or even just sitting cuddled up by a fireplace (fire) you can positively impact your well-being. You can keep yourself safe emotionally and mentally, by taking the time to care for yourself. To reconnect with Mother Earth, mother and home to us all.

Crystals:

While my Six Safety Tools offer assistance in protection and cleansing, crystals offer that and more. A crystal not only looks pretty and feels nice, but these stones carry within them a specific kind of energy.

Energy is what makes up our world. Anything made of matter is made with energy. We are made with energy and crystals are made of energy. And together, we influence each other, because energy influences energy.

The great difference between us and a stone is that we think and feel, and this changes our energy from moment to moment. But a crystal or gemstone is constant. As a result, their specific type of energy is constant, so their influence remains the same.

This energetic influence can help cleanse us, heal us, enlighten us, guide us, and even bring a light-heartedness.

This holiday season you can choose to utilize crystals in your environment or on your person to positively impact the energies within and around you.

Here is a list of stones:

Selenite: for cleansing
Rose Quartz: for compassion and love
Sun Stone: for levity and good cheer
Obsidian: for grounding
Tiger’s Eye: strength
Malachite: for healing
